India’s landmark women’s health campaign “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA)” has made history by securing three Guinness World Records, showcasing the nation’s leadership in preventive and women-centric healthcare. The campaign spanned all districts across India (n = 780), conducting over 19.7 lakh health camps and engaging 11 crore people through various health and nutrition platforms.
With participation from 20 ministries and departments, SNSPA exemplified intersectoral collaboration aimed at improving the health and nutrition of women, adolescent girls, and children.
Launched by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2025. SNSPA was observed till October 2, 2025, SNSPA was an integral part of Poshan Maah (Nutrition Month), aligning with India’s broader POSHAN Abhiyaan goals.
The 3 Guinness Records awarded on the name of SNSPA includes:
- Most people registered on a healthcare platform in one month
- Most people signed up for online breast cancer screening in one week
- Most people registered for vital signs screening online at the state level in one week
India PM said “Our mothers and sisters who are the true strength of our nation, are the foundation of India’s progress. When a mother is healthy, the entire family remains healthy,” he emphasized, adding that the campaign embodies the spirit of service, women’s empowerment, and the collective resolve of ‘Bharat First.’
Under this campaign, screening for various disease was conducted such as:
1.78 crore screened for hypertension
1.73 crore for diabetes
69.5 lakh for oral cancer
85.9 lakh women for tuberculosis
10.2 lakh for sickle cell disease
- 1.51 crore tests for anemia
The campaign saw widespread community participation, including over 5 lakh Panchayati Raj representatives, 1.14 crore students from schools and colleges, 94 lakh self-help group members, and around 5 lakh individuals from other community networks across the country. Moreover, The campaign shows India’s focus on preventive healthcare, digital health inclusion, and women’s empowerment, reinforcing progress toward Universal Health Coverage and Ayushman Bharat.
The Indian ministry stated that this recognition represents a significant milestone in India’s ongoing efforts to integrate public health outreach, digital innovation, and community participation to advance inclusive healthcare delivery.
